Madirokely/Ambatoloaka Beach is the most famous of Nosy Be and situated close by this hotel. The beach has the most beautiful bay and extends over one kilometre to the village of Ambatoloaka, known for its typical bars and restaurants. This hotel was renovated in 2012 and received several awards for its eco-construction, as well as its design and decoration, achieved by fashion designer Frederique Glainereau.
L’Heure Bleue enjoys a unique location in Nosy Be located in a lush tropical garden. There are eight luxury lodges and ten waterfront bungalows to choose from and overlooks the bay of Madirokely / Ambatoloaka. Make a splash in one of their two large swimming pools, one fresh water pool that is 15 meters long or in the seawater pool of 20metres.

L’Heure Bleue is the only hotel on the island of Nosy Be to receive certification for its environmental and social management. The hotel is rated AA+ by Arcet Cotation and also received the label “Ecovalue/sustainable accommodation”.
L’heure Blueu has 18 rooms consisting of;
- Waterfront Bungalow with fan (28m2)
- Seaview Duplex Bungalow with fan (sleeps 2-4 people)
- Deluxe Seaview Lodge (65m2)
The 10 wooden bungalows, including 3 duplex for families are near the waterfront. Each room has a large terrace facing the sea, decorated by French fashion designer, Frederique Glainereau, a king size bed, a sofa that can be converted into extra bed, a desk with free Wi-Fi access, a large bathroom with double sinks and a walk-in shower. The rooms are designed to keep the interior cool because of the ravinala roofs and high ceilings with a large ceiling fan.
The restaurant is entirely open on a terrace overlooking the bay, surrounded by the freshwater pool. The creative cuisine is inspired by the spicy flavours of Madagascar.
The seafood dishes can include king mackerel, kingfish, lobsters and prawns which is brought daily by local fishermen. Some of the delicacies on offer are the foie gras fried with mango or litchi, filet of zebu and a wide selection of exotic fruits. L’Heure Bleue’s restaurant is under the supervision of Ali, a talented Malagasy Chef.
