There Is Something Adventurous To Do Every Day

7 Days of Exploration

We suggest an itinerary visiting 2 or 3 islands in the Nosy Be archipelago. You chose the style of accommodation and we sort out the flights, transfers and activities such as diving, deep sea fishing, motorbike or car hire, island tour etc.

Day 1

Fly JNB 09.30 arrive nosy be 14.45 Meet at airport and transferred to Manga Be lodge. Over sundowners, the guide will discuss trip and itinerary for the week. Dinner will be for your account this first night

Day 2

First paddle along the coast of Nosy Be to a rustic tented camp on the edge of Lokobe nature reserve. Approximately 19km. Afternoon hikes in the forest seeing lemurs, chameleons and other wonderful flora and fauna

Day 3

It’s a short distance of 2.5km to Verona Private Island. This tiny island hosts the only working lighthouse. Transfer by pirogue to Tanikely Marine Reserve (incredible snorkelling) to spend the day relaxing on the beach and snorkelling. Relax with a sundowner on the veranda

Day 4

After breakfast paddle across to Hermitage Beach Hotel – approximately 13 km. This colonial-era resort is positioned on a lovely isolated beach on Mainland Madagascar. Cashew plantations surround the lodge. Afternoon hikes and explore the area

Day 5

An early morning paddle to the south side of Komba Island where we land on a beach for a rest and refreshments – Berenice Bungalows – approximately 15km. This bungalow resort is set on a little private beach in amongst wonderful gardens

Day 6

Heading across the channel to Ankify Lodge – 5km set just above the water’s edge. You will visit Millot plantation to see the cocoa trees & pods. Also, ylang ylang and other spice trees with a visit to Ambanja town. Sundowners with a tasty dinner is the perfect way to end a lovely day

Day 7

Heading back across the channel to Nosy Komba. A vibey beach bar for lunch and snorkelling & swimming in the bay. Village walk to see the lemurs who come down and jump on your shoulders

Day 8

After breakfast, head to airport. Visit local shops and market in town to get spices, vanilla, rum, jams and honey. Flight back at 14h45.

  • Transfers if you are heading straight to the camps and back to the airport.
  • If you are going on to other hotels, we can arrange transfers but will be for your account.
  • Visas are done on arrival and are approximately €10 per person.
