Kayaking safaris in Madagascar, tropical Africa
Sea kayaking tours to Madagascar: 8 - 10 people

In 2008 we ran our first 10 day Sea Kayaking Trip from Mahalinia to Kalakajoro, a distance of just over 100km over 6 paddling days. We will be following the same route we did in 2008. Our first sea kayaking trip was run for Gulf for Good, an organisation using the trip to raise funds for a school in the area. (See their Facebook group for more info.) This initial trip was such a fantastic experience that we have decided to make it a regular option for our clients visiting Madagascar.

Here is the low down on our sea kayaking trips
:

• The trip takes 8 to 10 people per trip
• We have two double sea kayaks at our Russian bay and Lokobie camps.
• There is plenty of time to head off fishing, to look for snorkeling reefs, to paddle to other little islands or even up into the mangrove swamps on the high tide.
• This trip will run four times per year. We have made a few adjustments to the trip from our experience on the first trip to improve it. We are flexible and will adjust the itinerary according to the group.

A rough itinerary:

• Each morning that you set out in your kayak, you will have the dhow in support and set off early every morning.
• You will have breakfast on the dhow and get to camp by midday for lunch and a bit of relaxation (or a bit of fishing, snorkling or island exploring).
• The last night out is spent in our bungalowed camp at Kalakajoro before the eight hour dhow trip back to Hellville
